October Film Night with Dinner
On Friday 4th October don’t miss the screening of ‘Rocks, Crofts and Sheep’ directed by Zev Robinson at the Edinburgh Larder.
Zev Robinson is a Canadian-British artist and filmmaker living near Glasgow and has been making documentaries about food, ecosystems and cultural identity since 2008, focusing on Scotland since 2016.
This evening will focus on Zev’s documentary on crofting, food and the history of land ownership on the Isles of Lewis, Harris and Scalpay in the Outer Hebrides “Rocks, Crofts and Sheep”
The screening will be followed by a talk with Zev, Babs Nicgriogair of Greencity Wholefoods workers coop and Josephine Holbrook of Baddinsgill Farm.
Menu of the evening will be cooked by Edinburgh Food Social and Cooks’ Alliance member Steve Brown.
- Peelham Farm lamb koftas, shredded salad, flatbreads, roast garlic yoghurt
- Spelt crepes with warm berries and creme fraiche
