Slow Food Edinburgh invitation to our Annual General Meeting

The Slow Food Edinburgh AGM takes place on Tuesday 19 April, 7 for 7.30pm at the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School

The evening will be a chance to hear about all our work over the last year and to find out more about our plans for 2016/17. It's a really exciting time for Slow Food here in Scotland and we'll be hearing more about the work we've been doing to support Slow Food's projects and campaigns including the Ark of Taste and 10,000 Gardens in Africa. We'll also have an update from the Slow Food Youth Network and Slow Food Scotland.

A delicious, good, clean and fair meal of game stew (or vegetarian alternative) and seasonal veg, followed by cheese and coffee will be available, £12 for members/£15 for non-members including one glass of wine or a bottle of beer/non-alcoholic alternative. (You can attend without having a meal)

Both members and non-members are very welcome to attend - we hope as many of you as possible will be able to join us for this convivial evening.

To allow us to gage numbers please email us on by 12 April indicating if you will be attending and would like food and drink.

(Please indicate if you would like the vegetarian option in your email - we regret we cannot cater for other dietary requirements.)

Payment is cash only on the door. Additional drinks will also be available to buy on the night.

Want to help us grow the Slow Food message in Edinburgh?

We are currently seeking new volunteers to join us on the Slow Food Edinburgh committee. Whether you've got a talent for organising events, recruiting members, fundraising, education activities or writing - we'd love you to help us grow Slow Food activities in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh is a very active convivium, with lots of projects and events planned for the coming year. Some of the activities you could be involved in include developing the Ark of Taste, running education projects and producing the Edinburgh version of the Slow Food Planet App.

We'd love to hear from anyone who would like to be more involved at this really exciting time for Slow Food so do email for more information. We look forward to hearing from you!
