Harvest Table Dinner at the Secret Herb Garden, 30 September

Don't miss our Slow Food Edinburgh Harvest Table Dinner with the Secret Herb Garden, Tuesday 30 September at 7pm.

Join us to celebrate harvest, seasonality and the end of the summer with a beautiful meal set in the greenhouses of the Secret Herb Garden at Damhead, only a few miles from the centre of Edinburgh.

A Magical Evening...

The evening will begin with a herb-infused drink on arrival, before a talk and walk around the garden to find out more about their philosophy to herbs.

Afterwards, we'll enjoy a relaxed harvest table meal, served buffet style, in the unique setting of the greenhouses as night falls.

The menu includes savoury tarts, fruit and salads using ingredients from the garden, including heritage varieties and edible flowers, all served with homemade bread.

This will be followed by Carageen Moss and Secret Herb Garden Honey Panna Cotta for dessert. Alcoholic drinks are BYOB.
There will also be the chance to buy plants to take home for your garden if you feel inspired!

Tickets are £22.50/£25 for Slow Food members/non-members. Booking essential via Slow Food Edinburgh info@slowfoodedinburgh.co.uk.

Farmers' Market Pop-Up, 26 July

Slow Food Edinburgh is pleased to announce our postponed Pop-Up restaurant has been rearranged for 26 July!

Back in June we had to postpone our Slow Food Week Pop-up event at Castle Terrace Farmers' Market due to the weather. However the Pop-Up will now take place at the farmers' market on the 26 July, against the dramatic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. We'll still be creating a local, seasonal brunch and lunch using delicious market produce for you to enjoy.

Brunch starts at 10.30am with our friends from the Edinburgh Larder Bistro. The menu includes smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and pastries, plus a glass of fizz. £10 for Slow Food members, £11 for non-members.

Lunch begins at 1pm with a platter of some of the best food at the market and artisan bread. The main course will be lamb paired with a local beer. This will be followed by a seasonal dessert, tea, coffee and chocolates.  Lunch costs £19 for Slow Food members and £21 for non-members, including one beer or non-alcoholic alternative.
We'll be serving the food right there at the market, served al fresco. We have 12 places at our table for each sitting, so booking is essential. Email us at info@slowfoodedinburgh.co.uk to reserve your space, including any dietary requirements. Payment in cash only on the day.

Ingredients will be sourced from the market and we'll be joined for a few words by some of the producers. All surplus proceeds will go to support Slow Food Edinburgh and our work to support good, clean and fair food.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Please note event may be cancelled due to forecast weather conditions by the market organisers
